A rare natural smile from Brian, in Esme's company.
This is a favorite picture of mine, taken on some nice day on dad's back patio before I left for the Appalachian Trail and then Boston. I miss you, Esme, and I love you.
Great picture of the real you! Like you...the longer I have to pose for a picture...the worse it will be. (Esme's blueberry pancake picture reminds me of me.) A number of family: Bob, Johanna, Thomas, Ariel, Marianne, Bob Sr., Dave & Peg, Alice and I gathered at Tom and Lisa's this Easter at Lisa's request. We sat outside, looked at gardens, ponds, chickens, dogs, cats and plants. As usual, we shared a good meal, talked, told stories and laughed...this year we also spent time crying. We also received, "The loving memories of Esme Kenney" CD/DVD from St. John's. I watched it for my first time today...( I had today off..and had spent time digging in the dirt, planting seeds etc. on a beautiful sunny spring day) and I just want you to know that you did the greatest job of showing people "Who Esme was" and singing her on...singing the song you wrote for her. I am so proud of you! Love 'ya! Beth

I had forgotten Esme's ear stage until we started looking through old photos... This photo is charming.
